Recap of 12/23/20 Delegates & National Queens Zoom Call:

After much consideration and discussion regarding the most recent information on Covid-19 and the Covid-19 vaccinations, we have decided to cancel the stage competitions for the 2021 America’s Elite National Competition.  We are NOT cancelling the Top Model of the Year competition; however, we will be making it a virtual event (click here for updates). The Top Model photoshoots for our monthly winners will still be held as planned the week of July 5th - 10th, 2021 in Orlando (click here for photoshoot schedule).

This was not a decision we made lightly, but given the inability of children under 16 from being vaccinated at this time, we do not feel having an event such as a pageant is best for the safety of the delegates, staff, families and hotel employees.  We understand that other systems have made the decision to host events based on what is best for their business, and we are not judging their decisions.  However, we have prayed for wisdom to make the right decision for America’s Elite and clarity on what those decisions should be.  We feel in the last few days that we have been given that clarity and hope you understand how difficult this decision was for us.

Below is the information that helped us make this decision:

  1. Having a Frontline ER doctor as a Business Owner, we were able to stay up-to-date on research information that showed some long term effects on children that are in the early stages of being studied, and knowing this means we cannot in good conscience overlook this information.

  2. The new strains of the virus have reduced the efficacy of the vaccination from 90% - 95% to 75%-80%.  Early reports show as the virus continues to mutate into new strains, it will also reduce the efficacy of the current and future vaccinations.  While there will be additional vaccinations produced to keep up with the ever-evolving virus, there is no proof for us to believe it will happen before July 2021.

  3. Studies also show that many of the symptomatic and asymptomatic Covid positive people have suffered from strokes, heart issues, pulmonary embolisms and blood clots 3-6 months post-Covid.  A common denominator was they suffered with high blood pressure or kidney disease.  Because this affects so many of our families and staff, it would not be in their best interest if they were to catch Covid as a result of our event.

  4. Covid affects each person in a different way as we have seen.  Knowing that one person could become seriously ill or worse, makes us confident we are doing what is best for the National Competition event in July.

As mentioned, we will still host the Top Model Photoshoot and other events the week of July 5th-10th, 2021.  We are able to control these types of events much easier by limiting when our models show up, and how many show up at a time.  We will host our Modeling Competitions virtually, and those winners will be invited to attend. Please continue to follow us on Facebook and Instagram as well as subscribe to our website to stay up-to-date with the latest events coming to America’s Elite Top Model and Top Model Magazine!

Please feel free to email us at compete@elitenationals.com if you have any questions.  All of our delegates will receive a full refund on all fees paid, as we cannot commit at this time to what future in-person competitions will look like.  We are still excited to move forward with the Top Model side of our business, and the support we have received has been overwhelming; we don’t take it for granted.  We are excited to meet all of our Top Model of the Month winners in July as well as the winners from our upcoming virtual competitions.

God Bless and Stay Healthy!
